Tinned Copper Wire- Some Important Advantages
Copper metal is known to be of unrivalled importance to human beings. Its one major area of application is the electrical domain. Today copper is used mostly in its alloy form. It is known that when copper wire is merged with tin wire and used as a Tinned Copper Wire it comes with much more durability as well as strength and can be used for other purposes as well.
Tin coated copper wire is prepared in two ways. First process which is known as hot dipping wherein copper strands are dipped in the melted tin. Electroplating is another method the same utilizes a rectifier as well as electrical charge for tinning the copper.
Tin Coated Copper wire is actually complex in shape wire and cable, the same possibly is the reason for the increased durability of the material. This wire can be used as overhead power source in subways, light/ heavy transit systems, buses, industrial cranes, etc.
The manufacturing of tin coated copper wire is executed in three stages. Firstly stage involves drawing of the wire in a specific size with the electrolyte copper. Thereafter annealing is performed in the second stage. Plain copper wire is generally a single wire with varying gauges. Each strand is coated with tin if it's the case of a tinned copper wire.
Tin-coated copper wire has many advantages; it can be used for better results wherever the plain copper wire has initially been used.
One main benefit is that the tin coating process saves the copper from oxidation and eventually lowers down the wear percentage. Considering the uses and advantages, this kind of copper wire is being used extensively. Tinned copper wire can last 10 times longer than non-tinned wire. Its resistance to water allows it to be used in a large way in boating & marine projects.
The other products of copper wire are Television Earthing Wire and other wire as well as cables. It is hard to imagine life without copper as electricity would not be possible without this metal. No metal is as best suited for electrical appliances as copper.
With the increasing demand of copper the number of suppliers have also arisen significantly; the total number of tinned copper wire, television earthing wire, laminated flexible jumpers manufacturers has seen a significant rise in India. I am getting an extra credit point for science class, and we are learning about chemistry and all that good stuff! My teacher told us students to go online and find out how much a pound of copper wire is today. I read about $1-3 or more.
